Cathedral Complex

The Cathedral complex is composed of the Cathedral itself and its Miguelete Tower, the Basilica of The Virgin ,and The Palace of the Valencian Government. All these surround the beautiful and picturesque square dedicated to the city's benefactor - The Virgin of the "Desamparados".
The two remaining gates of the mediaeval walled city of Valencia are the Serranos Towers, which were constructed at the end of the 16th century, and the Quart Towers which are more recent.

Tower of Saint Catherine
The Tower of Saint Catherine (Santa Catalina) is home to ancient bells, and is a perfect example of Baroque architecture.
Estación del Norte (North Station) is Valencia's main train station, and is decorated with ceramic tiling and illustrations of the agricultural richness of the Valencian land

Maritime Promenade

The Maritime Promenade ,has marked the re-joining of the Valencian citizen with his maritime heritage.

Palace of Music
The Palace of Music is a beautiful building whose largely glass structure is yet another example of the city's Vanguards architecture .
The Central Market was opened in 1928, and continues being used as such today, and is immensely successful. It is surrounded by other monuments of equal or superior importance, such as the "Lonja" the "Consulado del Mar", and the Iglesia de los Santos Juanes ( Church of the St. Johns).
